Who We Are

Faith Expeditions is on a mission that’s as exciting as a squirrel on caffeine!

We started off as a small, grassroots initiative, but now we’re all about helping veterans and law enforcement officers connect with the great outdoors. Think of it as a buddy system—except instead of holding hands, we’re trading war stories and roasting marshmallows around a campfire.

But here’s the catch: we can’t do it alone! We need passionate friends, enthusiastic supporters, and organizations that are just as dedicated to this cause as we are. Together, we can make sure that when our heroes hang up their boots and come home, they have all the tools they need to thrive in civilian life—just like they did in the military (minus the obstacle courses and early morning wake-up calls).

So, if you’ve got a love for the outdoors, a heart full of camaraderie, and a sprinkle of humor (because who doesn’t need a good laugh?), we’d love for you to join us. Whether you’re up for hiking, fishing, or just sharing a good old-fashioned BBQ, there’s a place for you in our community!

Let’s band together, make some unforgettable memories, and ensure that our veterans and law enforcement officers know they have a support system that’s as strong as a double-shot espresso!

Founded & Centered on Christ

The importance of grounding our efforts in prayer and centering our focus on Christ is the very foundation of Faith Expeditions!

Every decision we make—be it during planning meetings or launching new projects—is approached with a prayerful mindset. How incredible is that? This commitment not only strengthens our unity but also ensures that our actions are perfectly aligned with our core values and divine purpose.

Let’s remain steadfast in seeking guidance through prayer, allowing our faith to illuminate our path in everything we do. Together, we have the power to navigate any challenge while keeping Christ at the heart of our work! Imagine the possibilities when we collaborate under His guidance—our dreams can truly become a reality! So let’s dive in, full of excitement and faith, as we embark on this amazing journey together!

Our Beliefs & Core Values

We define “Christian” as one who believes that Jesus Christ is the true son of God who became a man in order to satisfy the penalty for man’s sin. He was born of a virgin, was crucified on the cross, and was resurrected from the dead.

Discipleship

Faith Expeditions engages people in transformative relationships. Transformative relationships are a beautiful reflection of the whole gospel, showcasing the love and truth that Jesus embodies. In these connections, we learn to walk in obedience to His teachings as revealed in the Bible.

We wholeheartedly believe that salvation comes solely by grace through faith in Jesus, and this is the foundation of our hope. Together, we can support one another in this journey, celebrating the grace that binds us and the faith that guides us. Let’s embrace this incredible gift and share it with others!

Matt 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Integrity

Our volunteers are ambassadors of Christ above all else. We are committed to embodying truth in every aspect of our lives, no matter where we are in the world. Our goal is to conduct ourselves with integrity and to be above reproach in all our actions. We believe in following through on our commitments wholeheartedly.

As we reflect on the example of Daniel, we are inspired by his unwavering faithfulness. In Daniel 6:4, we see that those around him sought to find fault, but they could not, because he lived with such integrity that no error or fault was found in him.

Let’s strive to be like Daniel—dedicated to truth and integrity in everything we do!

Daniel 6:4 “Then the high officials and the satraps sought to find a ground for complaint against Daniel with regard to the kingdom, but they could find no ground for complaint or any fault, because he was faithful, and no error or fault was found in him.”

Founders aka Top Brass

Our team of experienced leaders are unapologetically patriotic and determined to work diligently on behalf of the men and women we serve. We operate out of a love for country and a sense of duty, as we realize our freedoms are courtesy of the 1% of Americans who’ve fought courageously to defend the 99%.

Thinker of Deep Thoughts, and Dispeller of Myths and Bad IdeAS

While I’m not a veteran, I’ve been deeply involved with various veterans organizations for the past 10 years. I currently serve as the Texas State Coordinator for the Missing in America Project, a non-profit that locates forgotten veterans’ remains and gives them the honorable burials they deserve. It’s like being a detective, but instead of solving crimes, I’m solving the mystery of where our heroes ended up—spoiler alert: it’s usually not on a beach sipping piña coladas!

When I’m not busy playing the role of a modern-day Indiana Jones, I’m on staff at Christ Chapel Bible Church in Ft. Worth. Yes, you read that right—my weekends are filled with both sacred and heroic missions, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I’ve been happily married to my amazing wife, Brenda, for over 25 years—she deserves a medal for putting up with me that long! Together, we’ve raised five wonderful kids, and now we’re gearing up for the grand adventure of grand parenting. I’m pretty sure that qualifies us for some kind of award… or at least a lifetime supply of coffee!

With over 25 years of IT and business expertise, my responsibility is to ensure that Faith Expeditions stays on mission. Think of me as the GPS of our organization—navigating the path and making sure we don’t end up lost in the wilderness… or worse, at a Jeep dealership! Speaking of which, I drive a Toyota 4Runner (Lunar Runner). Why? Because it’s the superior choice over anything Jeep has ever made! Sorry, Jeep fans, but when it comes to off-roading, I prefer my adventures with a side of reliability and a sprinkle of “I can go off-road without actually breaking my rig.”

So here I am, mixing faith, service, and a little bit of automotive superiority all in one! If you need a ride to the next veterans’ event or just want to hear about my latest escapades, you know where to find me—just look for the guy with the 4Runner and a smile!

James Beal

Maestro of Mayhem, and Mastermind of Mischief

I am a US Army veteran and an avid Jeep and off-roading enthusiast. While my time in the Army was a whirlwind of fun and excitement, everything came to a screeching halt when disaster struck. Picture this: I’m out there, trying to figure out how to look cool while sweating through my uniform like a popsicle in the sun. Suddenly – Boom! Just like that, I go from aspiring adventurer to the unfortunate soul who has a planet dropped on his head. Yes, you heard that right. A planet!

And just like that, my illustrious Army career hit the brakes. Instead of sharing tales of bravery and heroics, I found myself explaining to my buddies why I’m wandering around with an inflatable giraffe under my arm. “You wouldn’t believe the wild adventures I had!” I’d say, and they’d just stare at me, wide-eyed, like, “Dude, you got hit in the head by a planet!”

But hey, who else can say they’ve had a giraffe as a battle buddy? I mean, talk about a unique bond! So, I embraced my new life, becoming the unofficial mascot of my unit. I learned that sometimes, the best stories come from the most unexpected places—even if they involve an entire planet crashing down on your head!

So now, instead of leading troops into battle, I’m leading the charge into the nearest off-road trail with my trusty giraffe by my side. Who knew that a little cosmic misfortune could lead to such epic adventures? Life is funny like that!

Organizer of Random Thoughts and Erratic Activity

I’m a proud United States Marine Corps veteran who survived five glorious years in the Corps, feasting on chow hall mystery meat so questionable even the dogs would turn up their noses. After 12 years of working alongside some of the finest Marines, Navy folks, and pilots, I’ve become a jack-of-all-trades—fixing everything from F-18 Hornets to T-45 Goshawks. If it flew and made noise, I probably had my hands on it at some point—hopefully, while wearing gloves!

Now, I’m living the dream at Lockheed Martin, working on next-gen tech that’ll keep our skies safer than a Marine’s hairline on inspection day. Seriously, I’ve seen less stress on a tightrope walker!

When I’m not geeking out over stealthy tech that makes me feel like I’m in a sci-fi movie, I’m at home with my stunning wife and our pint-sized warrior of a daughter. She’s already plotting her future military career—I’m thinking general by age 10, but who knows? She might just skip straight to four-star!

In my rare moments of free time (which is mostly when my daughter is napping and I’m not on toddler patrol), I focus on helping my fellow veterans and diving into the Word of God. Because let’s face it, every good Marine knows you need a solid foundation!

Oh, and my trusty steed for tackling the great outdoors? A 2021 4Runner that I’ve lovingly dubbed Marine-1. With this beauty, I’m ready to hit the trails and pretend I’m on a top-secret mission—just don’t ask me to eat any more mystery meat!

Board of Directors aka Big Shots

Our board of directors – yes, the folks in suits who sometimes seem like they just stepped out of a superhero movie. Thanks to their superpowers (also known as strategic planning), Faith Expeditions is all set to keep evolving and adapting to meet the needs of our ever-growing organization.

As we gallantly march forward, we’re fully committed to our mission of honoring and empowering our heroes. So, let’s give a round of applause to our board for their incredible foresight! They’ve equipped us with the tools and resources to continue making a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Now, let’s put our capes on and get back to doing what we do best – making the world a better place, one heroic act at a time!

Cheers to our collective mission!

Expedition Warriors

These are the real MVPs of Faith Expeditions! You’re the boots on the ground and the wrench-wielding wizards keeping our Jeeps (the Toyota’s don’t break) rolling down the trails. Without you, we’d just be a bunch of lost souls wandering around the woods, trying to remember where we parked!
